streams-behaviour

Users by Time of Week

Heatmap chart. Shows the number of active users grouped by each hour in the week.

No averages are calculated - if the reporting period includes an uneven number of weekdays it may skew results. This is desired behaviour for Ad reports, but may cause incorrect interpretations on Podcast and Stream reports. To prevent misinterpretation a notice is shown on this page if number of weekdays are not even:

User Drop-off (Minutes)

Bar chart. (Streams only). Listener drop-off rate, measured in minutes.

Results are grouped in increasing bucket sizes. The first 30 minutes are grouped into six 5-minute buckets, the next 30 minutes are grouped in two 15-minute buckets, followed by three 60-minute long buckets, and finally a bucket for all sessions lasting longer than 5 hours (but shorter than 24).

Users by Hour of Day

Line chart. Shows the active users by hour of day, summarised from all data in the reporting period.

User Drop-off (Percentage)

Bar chart. (Podcast + Ad only) Listener drop-off rate, in percentage.

Podcasts and ads vary in duration, so their drop-off is measured in percentage listened instead of time. Drop-off rate is measured in increments of 25%, compatible with the quartile measurement typically employed in ad tracking.
