The stream archive product is an optional add-on to our radio streaming service, which allows capturing a configurable amount of days of the incoming stream to a cloud archive.
❗Archive data may be delayed for up to an hour.
This page can access the archived audio for listening, downloading or importing into a podcast episode.
The heatmap indicates archive availability and allows browsing by week or selecting a specific date.
Clicking on any hour segment inside the heatmap will automatically select that hour.
A maximum range of 2 hours may be selected at once.
Accessing archive audio
Once a segment of stream audio is selected, it can be:
- Listened directly by using the "Play preview" button,
- "Download playlist" will save the M3U8 playlist file, see saving an audio file with VLC,
- "Import episode" will load an interface where audio from the archive can be selected to import as a podcast episode.
👉 The stream audio archive product is licensed only for internal use - the downloaded playlist file may not be shared with listeners. Our podcast product should be used to distribute audio-on-demand content to end users.
Archive access rights
The "Streaming" section of the publisher dashboard is only available to account and stream admins.
To enable normal podcast "publisher" users to access the archive and import to the podcast shows they manage, the Archive page is also made available as a stand-alone item to these users.
