Using podrolls

Podrolls is a Podcasting 2.0 features feature that allows a show to promote up to 10 other podcast shows.

When podroll items are added to a show, they are:

• Listed in the show's feed, allowing podcasting 2.0 applications to pick them up and display them to listeners.
• Displayed as a carousel of promoted items on our website, at the top of the episode page and bottom of show pages:

Adding podrolls

In the show's "Edit" form, publishers can search the PodcastIndex directory by show name:

Our interface then allows several shows can be added, removed or the sort order changed.

The order of the shows in the "Edit" interface determines the sequence thy are shown in on our website, and the sequence they are inserted into the feed. (This does not guarantee that other apps displaying them will use the same order.)
